Engine Build Up Starts

So after collecting a replacement engine from Raceline I can finally start the engine build-up.

Remove two-piece sump 1

Remove two-piece sump 2 + oil pick-up

Big Ends Exposed!

Replacement of 4 x Bearing Bolts with new and spacers

Frustration!

Bit of a frustrating weekend - when I unpacked my new crate engine I found it was damaged. It appears to have received a hefty blow across the exhaust manifold and cam belt cover. It must have been a good thwack as there is a deep score on the exhaust manifold, the rocker and cam belt covers are cracked and worst still the exhaust cam pulley appears split and not true to the inlet pulley. I've emailed Raceline so hopefully they will sort a replacement engine!
