IVA Test Day

I had to be at the Southampton test centre at 8.00 so I set of at 7.00, it was raining so I had a damp, chilly drive in.

Unfortunately the car failed on number of counts including:

  • Emissions were too high
  • Exhaust noise was above the 99db threshold
  • Parking brake needs adjusting as there's too much travel on the handbrake and the braking power wasn't strong enough
  • Speedo was over reading
  • Full beam headlight on one side wasn't changing over properly (sticky solenoid)
  • Gear box earth cable not connected
  • Rear view mirror vibrates
  • Starter motor electrical connections require rubber terminal boots

You're not allowed to take photos in the centre so please don't tell anyone.
